    How does the tailor-made trip work?

    Step 1 — Sketch

    You describe your ideal trip in 7 steps: desired destinations, approximate dates, number of travellers, budget per person, travel style (adventure, culture, relaxation, mixed), preferred accommodation (riad, hotel, bivouac), interests (gastronomy, photo, trek, family). Allow 5 minutes.

    Step 2 — Chat with a local

    Within 24h, one of our local designers calls or messages you on WhatsApp to refine your brief: they know every hotel, every guide, every road. They suggest the adjustments that actually work on the ground (climate, holidays, crowds).

    Step 3 — Detailed itinerary

    You receive within 72h a day-by-day itinerary with proposed accommodation, meals, transport, guides, optional activities and total budget detailed line by line. You request any changes you want — as many times as necessary, free of charge.

    Step 4 — Secure booking

    30% deposit to confirm all bookings (hotels, guides, transfers). The balance is due 7 days before departure. Free cancellation up to 30 days before. Cancellation insurance available. Payment by card or bank transfer with official receipt.

    Questions about tailor-made trips

    How much does a tailor-made trip to Morocco cost?

    The price depends on your style, duration and number of travellers. As a guide: for 2 people in a 4-star hotel with private guide, allow €110-150/person/day for a standard tour (Marrakech-desert-Atlas) and €180-250/person/day for a luxury programme with charming riads, private bivouac and 4x4. Our quote is always detailed line by line.

    How many days should I plan for a first trip to Morocco?

    8 to 10 days is ideal for a first trip: 2 days in Marrakech, 3 days for the desert via Ouarzazate and Dades, 2 days in the Atlas for trekking or the Ourika valley, 2 days in Essaouira or Fes. For 4-5 days, stay on Marrakech + desert. For 14 days, add Fes, Chefchaouen or the Atlantic coast.

    Can I change the programme once on the ground?

    Yes, your local guide adapts in real time: weather, group energy, sudden love for a valley, desire for a free day. We always keep some margin in the schedule to absorb happy surprises. Hotel changes at 24h are possible subject to availability, no surcharge if same category.

    Is travelling to Morocco with kids possible?

    It's even one of our specialities. We adapt the stages (no more than 4h driving per day with kids), the activities (cooking class, adapted camel rides, craft workshops), the accommodation (riads with pool, family hotels) and provide free child seats. We've taken over 60 families with kids aged 4 to 14 in 2025.

    What's the lead time to prepare a tailor-made trip?

    Minimum is 2 weeks before departure to book hotels, guides and transfers without penalty. Ideal is 6 to 8 weeks, especially for peak periods (March-May, September-November, European school holidays). If you're last-minute (under 2 weeks), it's possible but hotel choice is restricted.

    Travelling to Morocco from the United States

    Around a third of the travellers we host now fly in from North America, and their questions are always the same: how to get here, when to come, what it costs and how to fit Morocco into a week off work. Here is what we tell them before they book a Sahara desert tour, a trek in the Atlas Mountains or a tailor-made trip built around their own dates.

    Flying in from the US

    Royal Air Maroc flies nonstop from New York (JFK) and Washington DC (IAD) to Casablanca, with onward connections to Marrakech in under an hour; Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa and TAP connect every major US hub via Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt or Lisbon. We track your inbound flight and hold your private transfer at no extra cost, whatever the delay.

    When to come

    March to May and September to November are the sweet spot: mild days in Marrakech, comfortable trekking in the Atlas Mountains, warm nights in the desert. US travellers on a one-week schedule usually pair day trips from Marrakech with a 3-day desert tour; two weeks allows the imperial cities and the coast as well.

    Money and payment

    You can pay in USD by card or PayPal before departure — deposit of 30%, balance before arrival, no hidden fees. Prices across the site can be switched to US dollars. On the ground the currency is the Moroccan dirham; cards work in cities, cash is king in the mountain souks and small villages.

    Peace of mind

    US and Canadian passport holders travel to Morocco without a visa for stays up to 90 days — a passport valid at least six months on arrival is all you need. Every trip we run is operated by our own licensed team, not resold to a third party, and reachable on WhatsApp before, during and after your stay.

    Morocco travel FAQ for US and Canadian visitors

    Do Americans need a visa to travel to Morocco?

    No. US citizens can enter Morocco visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days, with a passport valid for at least six months beyond arrival. Canadian and UK passport holders benefit from the same 90-day exemption. Nothing else is required to join our tours in Morocco or our day trips from Marrakech.

    How do I get from the airport to my riad or hotel?

    We meet you inside the arrivals hall with a name sign and drive you door to door. Our private transfers cover Marrakech, Casablanca, Agadir and Fes airports, plus long-distance routes to Essaouira, Merzouga or the Atlas villages. Flight tracking is included, so a delayed connection out of JFK or Dulles costs you nothing extra.

    How many days do I need in Morocco coming from the United States?

    Counting the overnight flight each way, a 7-day trip works well for Marrakech plus a 3-day desert tour to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Ten to twelve days lets you add the imperial cities or the Atlantic coast, and two weeks covers a full loop with the Atlas Mountains. Tell us your dates and we build a tailor-made trip around them.

    Is Morocco safe for American travellers?

    Morocco is one of the most visited countries in Africa and receives millions of foreign travellers a year, including a fast-growing number of Americans. Our guides are local, licensed and English-speaking, our vehicles are inspected quarterly, and you keep a direct WhatsApp line to our Marrakech office throughout your stay.

    What does a Morocco tour cost for a US traveller?

    A shared day trip from Marrakech starts around $35 to $60 per person; a private 3-day desert tour with a luxury desert camp typically runs $300 to $500 per person depending on group size; longer 8 to 15-day tours are quoted per itinerary. All prices can be displayed in US dollars and include transport, guiding and accommodation as listed — no forced shopping stops, no mandatory tipping.

    What is the time difference between the US and Morocco?

    Morocco runs on GMT+1 year-round, which puts it 5 hours ahead of New York in winter and 4 hours ahead in summer, 8 and 7 hours ahead of Los Angeles respectively.
